midwife
noun
Think of a midwife as your pregnancy bestie and a highly trained healthcare pro all in one! The word midwife itself means "with woman" , a reflection of their core mission to be with their patients every step of the way. Whether you're planning a hospital birth, a cozy home birth, or something in between , a midwife will be there to support your holistic wellbeing throughout your reproductive health journey and beyond.
Expert Midwife Services for Expecting Parents

I am dedicated to providing comprehensive support and guidance for parents during their journey that they may not otherwise receive, from valuable insights to community connections. In some situations, the safest option may be for an obstetrician to lead your care—but that doesn’t mean your midwife can’t still play an important role. Midwives can continue to be a valuable part of your support team, helping you feel heard, informed, and empowered throughout your journey.
About Your Midwife
" Every time a baby is born, the universe shifts to make a room for a new soul."

I don't recall when or where I heard the above quote, but that was the defining moment that changed how I will forever see labor and delivery.
I started my nursing journey working as a Registered Nurse from 2010-2014, decided to start labor and delivery in 2016, and have been in awe ever since. In 2019, I was granted the opportunity to work in Bethel, Alaska and experience labor and delivery like never before. I was able to witness a woman go into her inner self, connect with her body, and birth her baby! I knew I wanted more, so in 2021 I enrolled into Frontier Nursing University, although I had my reserves. I soon received confirmation that this was the path for me when I was able to witness the home birth of my grandson. Seeing my daughter in her home, in her own bed, bringing my grandson into the world and into my hands was so fulfilling to me. I knew then that every woman deserves the opportunity to experience birth in the way that she chooses and be supported in a safe and respectful way, and that is what I am committed to doing.
